The update: she didn’t break up with him. But she told everyone what he had done and everyone was mad at him for it. Her friends apologized for taking his side but the friendships weren’t the same after that. She did end up getting all the patches back and everyone that took them were super apologetic and yelled at the bf. The bf never really apologized and just wanted her to stop being mad and telling people. They aren’t together anymore thankfully

Update 10 years later, she broke up with him and she told everyone in their friend groups and what not what he did the people who took his side apologized and most of them gave the patches back, but a few of them she had to go to the door with another friend and look at them dead in their eyes saying my dead father gave me those when I was 14 and that did the trick she got all the patches back and then about a year later she ended up finding one of her father’s her grandfather’s old backpacks in the attic, and started that as a new base and she still has both to this day and she continuously adds patches to it
