I remember being in 7th grade learning about the holocaust. We asked our teacher, “how could we let this happen? Did we not know about it? Why didn’t we stop them sooner?” He showed us a newspaper article, a very small column reporting on the atrocities. People knew, they just didn’t care. In 50 years our children will be asking the same questions about the genocide in Palestine. The insane irony is that Israel is the one responsible now.
