This salesman seems reasonable. I see both sides. I'm sure lots of people say they have a deal and dont. trust works both ways. That said, just give best price you can do... what is in writing from competetor shouldn't matter. Either you can or can't. Overall, dealer seems solid.

Love your content, but I hate to say it the salesman is right here. So many people come in and say they have “this much” off and sometimes it’s a lot, sometimes it’s an extra 100-300, without showing in writing they can’t take it seriously and have no incentive to say “yes” because they just aren’t going to trust you on that
