This is exactly why people are worried. Five UK nationals in their 20s arrested near RAF Fairford (the base the US has been using for strikes on Iran) and they’re already out on bail with “stringent conditions.” That fast? After evacuations, bomb squads, and Trump saying he wouldn’t have released them? UK just moved to ban social media for under-16s to “give kids their childhood back.” Fine. But if the same government treats a possible terror plot at a live military site this lightly, it really does look like a soft target. National security has to come first. Hope they start treating these threats like they actually matter.

Fully agree it’s legitimate to worry about and want to deal with these gaps in security and hostile actors. But it’s also important to not let hatred, irrationalism, and prejudice take over and cloud decision making. Because doing so will lead to mistakes and poor decisions being made.
