I wish I could wear those! In Germany almost all of these would be forbidden 😭😂 Shoes must be completely closed at the front to protect against falling needles, scalpels, or spilled body fluids. That’s why the upper material must provide a basic barrier against accidental needle pricks from above (leather or liquid-resistant rubber without holes), whereas classic mesh/fabric runners are forbidden. They need to be easy to clean, as well as quick to wipe down and disinfect.
