With me I was told that with the iodine that it might not work so in the future I’d have to have the surgery anyway. So I felt I was backed into a corner. All I can say is do research, maybe get a second opinion so it helps ease your worries. Ask so many questions. I wasn’t given much information until being taken in for surgery. So they are happy with my thyroid levels, although I do have symptoms. It’s mainly my calcium levels I struggle with. I’ve just had my 1st sickness and diarrhoea bug and I ended up in hospital not because of thyroid but because I needed calcium and magnesium infusions. After my removal for me life has changed. My moods, weight, skin. Some people don’t have issues at all which is great. But even now 3 years on I’m still learning. Yes my weight is an issue but I pay for mounjaro now, which has helped with so many issues. Weight, inflammation, moods. I really hope you start feeling better in yourself soon 🥰 wishing you all the best for whatever you decide xx
