🐟 HONEY SOY GARLIC GLAZED SALMON If you love the savoury, umami flavour of Maggi seasoning, you’re going to LOVE this salmon! We’re taking a whole salmon fillet and coating it in a beautiful, sticky marinade made with Maggi, soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger. Everything gets baked together in the oven for an incredibly easy dinner! 🥢 INGREDIENTS • 2–2½ lb (900 g–1.1 kg) whole salmon fillet, skin on • 1 tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil • Black pepper, to taste FOR THE MARINADE: • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Maggi seasoning • 2 tbsp (30 mL) light soy sauce • 3 tbsp (45 mL) honey • 1 tbsp (12 g) brown sugar • 1 tbsp (15 mL) lime juice • 6 garlic cloves, minced • 1½ tbsp (22 g) grated ginger • 1 small shallot, minced • 1 tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil • 2 tbsp (30 mL) water FOR GARNISH: • Green onions • Sesame seeds • Cilantro and lime wedges (optional) 👨🏻‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS 1️⃣ MIX THE MARINADE – Add the Maggi seasoning, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, shallot, sesame oil and water to a bowl. Whisk until well combined. 2️⃣ MARINATE THE SALMON – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the salmon dry and place it skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush generously with the marinade and season with black pepper. No additional salt needed! Let it marinate for 15–30 minutes, if time allows. 3️⃣ BAKE – Bake the salmon for 12–20 minutes, depending on thickness, brushing with more marinade halfway through. For food safety, do not use marinade that has touched raw salmon as a finishing sauce unless it is boiled first. 4️⃣ CARAMELIZE – During the last 3–4 minutes, brush with freshly reserved marinade. For extra caramelization, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully so the sugars don’t burn! 5️⃣ SERVE – Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds and cilantro. Serve with hot jasmine rice! 💡 SALMON TIP: For a softer, moist centre, I like 125–130°F (52–54°C). For the official Health Canada food safety recommendation, cook fish to 158°F (70°C). #SalmonRecipe #Salmon #GarlicGingerSalmon #EasyDinner #AsianCooking
