The comments saying that their or their kids eyes improved after getting glasses is so interesting to me. I got glasses around 10 years old and my eyes have gotten progressively worse over the last 15 years because they don’t have to work as hard now. I assumed that was the norm lol

I was given that option as a child and decided to get them and because I thought they were cute. I left them on my face all the time and now I’m currently like blind. So if you do go with the glasses, just make sure he doesn’t wear them all the time.

I had that same situation. I don’t have to have them but I do have a pair for just in case. As a kid I had some and lost them then never got more

My niece was 10 when she got a very similar prognosis. She wears them only when she’s learning but that’s it.

my son was in second grade, far sighted, and it corrected itself as he got older. he's 24 and has not worn glasses since 5th grade.

I got told I only needed glasses when driving and in class, I didnt wear them other than those times and my eyesight got worse so please get him those glasses

I was 9 when I also got told to wear them for reading and homework. I like never used them but then I got to high school and was like yeah mom I can’t see the board 😂 and I’ve been wearing glasses every day since 😂 so I mean you could tell him if he wear them now, maybe he’ll maintain just needing homework/reading glasses and not every day glasses 🤷♀️

My sister and I were told the same thing and I never wore mine and she did and now she cannot see without them and my eyesight is good

I think if it were my kid I would , I recently got glasses as I was having straining and big headaches and turns out I needed glasses it’s helped heaps but if my kid were experiencing what I was I’d definitely want to help them it’s not pleasant 🩵 but you look so cool Kai ! 💙

My glasses prescription was all over the place as a kid I went from 0.2 to 0.5 to perfect eyesight back to 0.2 he may only need them for the time being and his eyes may sort themselves out as he grows up

As someone who's been wearing glasses since I was 4 I would say get them and wear them only in class and while reading or doing school work and or only when needed and see how it goes in a year or so and then go from there
