Be careful, if you’re not planning on staying in the military. You’ll have to pay the fee after you get out. Also, there is no downgrade path. You’ll have to close out the line and possibly affect your credit if you don’t want it anymore.

Ughhhh I hate when people post this and do not inform them they need to get GOLD first. If you get Platinum first, you’re not eligible for a Gold SUB, both P1 and P2. They’re missing out on up to 100K Amex points.

Just so everyone knows if your concerned keeping an excellent credit score when he gets out they will add the annual fee to the card unless you close your account. Closing your account will have a negative impact on your credit score.
