The woman said she discovered the apparent rodent while preparing a Mississippi-style pot roast. Mezzetta says it contacted the consumer and is investigating the product, sanitation records and circumstances surrounding the report. The recall is not for all Mezzetta products. It applies only to 32-ounce Golden Greek Peperoncini Medium Heat jars, SKU 10106328, Lot 720106. Consumers with that specific lot are being told not to eat it. Mezzetta says no illnesses or injuries have been reported and that affected retailers are being contacted to remove the recalled jars from sale.
