Lee county Iowa.
The confusion arises because Mesabi Metallics, a Minneapolis-based company, is executing an $18 billion dual-state strategy where the raw material is extracted in Minnesota but processed in Iowa. The company just completed a $3 billion iron ore mine and pellet plant in Nashwauk, Minnesota—the first new U.S. iron mine in 50 years—which will supply the raw ore pellets. However, due to cheaper energy grids, logistics along the Mississippi River, and political frustration over Minnesota's strict regulatory and tax environment, the company chose to build the actual $15 billion mega steel mill in Lee County, Iowa. While Mesabi's CEO has mentioned a desire to eventually build a smaller, secondary iron processing plant in Nashwauk, that project is strictly contingent on Minnesota streamlining its permitting process

Lee County southeast Iowa. Mining jobs in Minnesota plus 350. Steel mill plus 1,750 jobs. Carney Stelco minus 500. Winning!

Smelting Aluminum requires a lot of energy 🤔🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦 Kitimats aluminum smelter uses hydro from the Kemano hydro dam and I am almost sure the dam was specifically built for that and to power Kitimat as well I don’t know where the aluminum smelter in Ontario sources its power from .🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦👍😊

He also announce aluminum smelting plants to be built (I think it was east coast), but doesnt seem to comprehend that he still needs both raw material and massive amounts of hydo to run one.
