SAVE THIS RECIPE! 🍋🌿 This one is finally back! I originally shared this lemon ginger honey last year and it took off — so naturally, I had to bring it back for my first ebook launch. 🤍 ✨ This recipe is officially part of my FIRST Wildwood Natural Remedies ebook — 12 recipes for your cold & flu season home apothecary. It’s officially live on Etsy! 🌿 Link in bio. 🍋 Lemon Ginger Honey You’ll need: • ½ lemon, thinly sliced + quartered • 1–2 inches fresh ginger, grated • Raw honey, enough to cover Make it: Layer the lemon + ginger in a clean jar, cover completely with honey and stir well. Let it sit for a few minutes as the juices release and the honey becomes thinner. Enjoy by the spoonful or add to warm tea, drinks, oatmeal or yogurt. You can eat the lemon + ginger pieces or strain for a smooth honey. 🍋 Lemon provides vitamin C + plant compounds. 🌿 Ginger contains gingerols and is traditionally used for digestive comfort. 🍯 Honey can soothe a sore throat and calm a cough.* I love letting this sit in the fridge for 1–2 days for an even deeper flavor. Storage: Keep refrigerated and use within 2 weeks. Because we’re using fresh lemon + ginger, always check for mold, fermentation, off odors or other signs of spoilage and discard if anything looks or smells off. For kids: Never give honey to children under 12 months. For older children, consider a milder version with less ginger depending on age and preference. I use the @Weck Jars 746 Tulip Jar. Honey is not for infants under 12 months. This recipe is for general seasonal comfort and isn’t intended to diagnose, treat or prevent illness. #lemongingerhoney #sorethroat #cough #naturalremedy
