That is the only way to maintain interoperability and a unified record across all the networks tokenizing different assets. Canton, Ondo, Securitize, and others can all tokenize on their respective platforms. Settlement between all of them runs through one unified layer. The XRPL with XRP as the settlement mechanism is the thesis for what that layer is.
