We watched the horses, wandered the gorgeous grounds, grabbed pastries, sat in the shade and somehow ended up talking about horse domestication, tricks, and why cowboys aren’t called horseboys. 😂 You can make this a super low-cost—or even free—day trip. Pack snacks, bring a little game, find a table near the Grand Arena and just hang out for a while. It was simple, beautiful, educational without trying to be, and exactly the kind of day I want more of.
