my dog had parvo when he was a puppy they wanted thousands of dollars. we ended up going to a tack and feed store and they had a 5 day parvo kit for $300. he survived. vet costs are very frustrating and unrealistic

I adopted a puppy from a rescue that the next day showed to have Parvo. Cost $20k for a dog I had owned for 1 day. 14 years later she passed away and it was all worth it.

I just paid $4000 bc my kitty was potentially exposed to a lily and needed monitoring and IV's for 3 days. He's OK, thank god. But $4K hurts

My dog survived parvo I was quotes up to $3000 ended up being $1000 she was a chunky puppy she hardly lost any weight . When check up after parvo she had put on 3kgs in a week

I think the biggest problem these days is veterinarian clinics being bought out by private equity. They are only in it for profit, if they don’t make a profit they get a huge tax write off, it’s a win win for them and a lose lose for us.

I’m sorry, but Veterinary medicine is the biggest con because they know people will do anything for their beloved pets… they totally take advantage of people. Disgraceful.

My girl came out of an antivax home and my biggest fear as I was transporting her across the country was that she would get exposed to something that would have been preventable if she had just had all her shots. She’s happy and healthy and up to date now and I plan to keep her that way.
