😭💔 I AM BEGGING YOU TO SEE WHAT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE MET ROSA SEE. Not a shelter dog. Not a foster return. Not a dog who needs to be “perfect” the moment she walks through somebody’s door. A huge heart. A beautiful soul. And so, so much love to give. This is Rosa A1297712. 🌹 And tomorrow, she is scheduled to go back to Dallas Animal Services. I cannot stop thinking about that. I cannot understand how nobody chose her at the carnival adoption event. Icannot understand how this beautiful girl was once labeled for euthanasia. And I especially cannot understand how three different foster homes in less than a month can have wonderful things to say about Rosa—yet she still doesn't have a home. Three fosters. Saturday to Monday with the most recent one. And each time, Rosa is the one who loses. 💔 That isn't fair. Dogs don't walk into our homes already knowing our routines, our expectations, our other pets, our schedules or our lives. Relationships take time. We adjust to each other. We learn each other. We meet somewhere in the middle. We figure out which walk makes their tail wag. We learn where they like to sleep. We laugh at their quirks. We establish routines. We give them time to decompress. We give them grace when everything is unfamiliar. And somewhere along the way, something beautiful happens: They become family. Rosa deserves that chance. Those of us who have met her have seen something incredibly special in this girl. ❤️ She has a HUGE heart. ❤️ She loves deeply. ❤️ She is affectionate and joyful. ❤️ She gives her whole heart to people. ❤️ And she feels things deeply. Rosa is an empath. And I believe her heart keeps getting broken. Tonight, a kind volunteer is making sure Rosa has somewhere safe to sleep. But tomorrow she goes back to Dallas Animal Services. Please. Don't let that happen. Not another kennel. Not another temporary stop. Not another person saying, “She's wonderful, but…” Not another round of Rosa wondering where her person went. She deserves as much love as she gives. We aren't looking for somebody who wants to “try Rosa out.” We are looking for someone who looks at this beautiful girl and says: “Come home, Rosa. We'll figure life out together.” Someone who will give her time to smell the roses. 🌹 Time to learn a routine. Time to exhale. Time to laugh. Time to trust. Time to simply be. I believe there is someone for everyone. And I believe with my whole heart that Rosa is somebody's soul dog. So where are you?
