Also they are constantly taught to not respect boundaries at a young age as well. “Little” things such as eating all of the food in the fridge, or food that was kept for someone else. Things such as pulling girls’ hairs, mocking little girls in pe, bothering girls by kicking their chairs, etc. These things are constantly dismissed as “boys being boys” which only encourages disrespecting boundaries in a more dangerous manner in the future.

In Costa Rica it’s so normal to take ur kids to hooters to get “USA food”and I forget it’s not normal in the US for kids to go there a lot 😭 we don’t even see anything wrong with it like it’s just their uniform for work no one really thinks twice about it, it’s just a restaurant with an Us American “uniform” at least that’s how it is in CR.
