My husband is in executive management and will cook and clean while I mind our two children. I’m a homeschooling sahm btw. I cook and clean if I want to and that is maybe twice a week. We hardly eat takeout. He also does our laundry weekly and folds it and packs it away. We have twins (6 yo), with no village and he understands how taxing that is as the primary caregiver.

And to those saying, ‘I have to pay the bills, and also clean and cook,’ my father worked from 6 am to 9 pm, five days a week, for 28 years. He paid all the bills, took care of the essentials for all seven of his children, and because he didn't want our mother to work, he still made time to cook and clean almost every Sunday. He wasn't a perfect man emotionally, but he was a good man and a provider in every sense he knew how to be. Y'all are just making excuses acting like being a good father or partner is some impossible task simply because you're also providing financially. Financial provision doesn't automatically excuse you from contributing in other ways.
