@corleonisz: I really can’t believe season 4 is already over tommorow, I first started reading the Re:ZERO WN over an year ago now, and arc 6 has always had a special place in my heart, it means so much to me as my personal favorite storyline in fiction. Self worth and reciprocation was always something I struggled immensely with, but I began to see my own flaws projected through Subaru as a character who is incredibly easy to emphasize with. I also isolated myself, for many many years, because I felt like I couldn’t live up to the expectations of those around me, including myself. “—How, could you ever possibly love me, if I don’t even love myself?” was one of the many moments where I felt identical to Subaru. The entire idea of using amnesia to deconstruct his flaws and rebuild his trust in himself is one of the many reasons this Arc stood out as so brilliant to me in the first place. The character writing is just so gorgeous man. I love the way this Arc handles identity, imposter syndrome, memories, and isolation, and I absolutely adore the message, so seeing it get an anime adaptation, and waiting patiently weekly, has been great. I do have my own personal gripes with the direction choices this season, but there’s nothing that can really ruin my view of the original source material, it couldn’t possibly ever go down from a 10/10. One of my personal favorite moments that I’ve been looking forward to most was Shaula’s conclusion, and I’m sure they’ll do an excellent job at getting the emotions through. There’s something so incredibly heartbreaking about her parallels to beatrice with her own 400 years of waiting, I may have disliked Shaulas character at the start but I saw the appeal immediately after The Earnest Star and she grew on me incredibly fast.
