When I watched it again, I think I realized that maybe I didn't like the fact that Changyu didn't discover Xie Zheng's identity earlier. But looking back now, maybe that was exactly what made Xie Zheng let his guard down around her. Perhaps the director intentionally made her character a little dense to help break through Xie Zheng's thick walls. And that's what makes her so special. She's oblivious to what's happening around her, but never when it comes to the things that truly matter to her.
