Last night, I was called to a man’s home in the historic downtown area of Wilmington, North Carolina, after he became worried about paranormal activity inside his home. He had only moved in a little over a month ago, but had already experienced a picture frame falling off the wall, strange dreams, and what he described as an electrical charge around him, almost like something was right up against him. He had never experienced anything paranormal before and was so uncomfortable the night before we arrived that he walked to a nearby fire station and asked someone to escort him back home. When Shannon and I arrived, before I even started my intuitive walkthrough, the TV turned on by itself. As I walked through the apartment, I immediately saw a man wearing a black hat from an older time period. I also kept seeing many people walking across the grounds and was shown what appeared to be a body lying there. I then heard, “I died here.” Another presence that came through was an older woman who felt incredibly sad and lost. Over and over, I kept seeing the image of a train. I felt as if she had traveled here with members of her family and children, experienced poverty and hardship, and at some point became separated from them. I also saw the numbers “193,” with the fourth number blurry, making me wonder if this could have been connected to the 1930s during the Great Depression. Interestingly, Wilmington was a major railroad city during that era, with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad headquartered downtown. That doesn’t prove what I was seeing, but it definitely gave some interesting historical context to the train, poverty and separation I was picking up on. The names I was given were Ronald and Melody. During the investigation, we started receiving responses that seemed to connect directly with my walkthrough. I asked the woman’s name and clearly heard, “Melody.” I asked the man’s name and heard, “Ronald.” We also captured, “I need to go,” along with another voice referencing “her family.” After receiving several responses, I offered a prayer to help any souls present who needed assistance. What we received afterward was incredible. A woman’s voice yelled, “Thank you!” A man’s voice said, “I’m home.” And when I asked if Ronald received help, we heard, “He went up.” Before leaving, I blessed the home and reassured the homeowner that I did not feel anything threatening was there. I believe these were historical spirits emotionally tied to traumatic events and hardships from their physical lives. Hopefully, after what happened last night, both they and the homeowner can finally have some peace. #paranormal #wilmingtonnc #northcarolina #paranormalactivity #haunted
