John McWilliams989 :
It’s a shame that 99% of our young Americans have NO idea how it feels to pay homage to our country.

Still remember randomly being on KAF in 2010 and one night stumbled upon a comedy tour on the boardwalk with Robin Williams, Lewis Black and some other comics. After the show Robin Williams was the only comic that stayed after and shook the hand, took a photo or gave an autograph to every Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman there… still have a photo with him to this day. Amazing human!

First of all...THANK YOU to ALL of our men and women in the military for your service. Secondly, Mr. Williams is an A-One class act. Miss him dearly; he was one of the best.

I was in Mazar-i-sharif in 2002. Robin Williams went to K2 for a USO show. He called us on the radio and did a "Good Morning Afghanistan". It was very nice of him to do that for the 8 of us running the airfield.

You could literally see his respect in his expression....even if he didn't know what was happening. He put it together by sincere observation. God bless him and Armed Forces.....

when his head dropped thats when he really realized what it costs. always loved how he humbled himself. didn't know what to do , but he knew that was about way more than his act.

Robin Williams could literally make a joke out of anything and it be funny as hell. Comedic genius.
