my biggest gripe with Dragonwilds is the lack of equipment that feels unique. you have the same 3 armour "set" bonuses for the entire game. there's 3 steel melee armour types that are identical in stats, the only difference is appearance and mats needed to craft them. no unique set bonuses or reason to pick one. it just got boring exploring and finding nothing new. I've played about 70 hours or so and I really just don't want to play any further. new area means next tier equipment, and each tier gets a way longer grind for slightly more damage done and less damage taken. no real game changers since moving to tier 2 stuff and feeling an actual power bump.

To say valheim has no future updates planned is kind of a wild comment considering they literally just dropped 1.0 within the last couple weeks. A massive content update. So yea it’ll be a little before they have another one.

Valheim is empty hardly any content and no quests or and meaningful npcs it's intentionally hard for no reason other than to hold back the progress runescape is a proper game that will receive future updates could be more different

comparing valheim to a RuneScape game is crazy RuneScape is a mmo . valheim is a survival craft game. and valheim does have a magic system if you actually play it lol it's just late game. they are not similar besides the crappy player graphics. the world of Valheim is beautiful. character creation not so much

Been playing a ton of RuneScape and I guess the biggest takeaway for me is the game feels very basic which isn’t bad but it does get stale after so long. I’m at the point where I’m deciding if I want to continue on or stop cause at a certain point which is early/mid into the game, it feels like you’re doing the same thing and no sense of variety. Also combat is pretty basic and the variety of early to mid game gears with anything unique is kind of nonexistent.

5k hrs in valheim , 300 hrs in dragonwilds, neahh, runescape is fun with friends , when play solo is just sad , on the other hand , Valheim is fun both ways 👍 dont even talk about buildin

The magic abilities in valheim only starting in the later biomes is a great way to keep the grind fresh once you get past Moder. Feels like a new start
