Nawal El Saadawi is a woman I used to be deeply obsessed with. I would listen to her podcast all the time because she often advocated for women’s rights and spoke out against oppression. I know she was an atheist and I believe was raised Muslim but later rejected Islam. She was Egyptian and often criticized Islam and that’s ultimately why I stopped listening to her. There’s a lot I don’t agree with when it comes to her views or beliefs, but I can still acknowledge that she was a very knowledgeable and intelligent woman. For the people calling her god yall need to be checked subhanllah. but yes go ahead and call her mother:)
