At this point, this Judy Austin and Rita Edochie saga has gone beyond social media drama… it has entered the courtroom. 👀 Judy Austin has taken legal action against Rita Edochie over what she considers defamatory statements, including the repeated “husband snatcher” narrative that has followed her for years. The case came up in court on September 29 and has now been adjourned to November 24. Now, let me say something before the internet drags me. 😂 I DON’T support infidelity. I don’t support cheating, and I don’t support anybody interfering in another person’s marriage. But can we have an honest conversation? A grown man cannot be “snatched” like a handbag. At the centre of this entire story is a grown man who made his own choices. Whatever happened between Yul Edochie, May and Judy, responsibility should not conveniently disappear from the person who was actually married. You can hold Judy accountable for her alleged choices without turning her into the only villain in the story. And honestly, the constant name-calling, insults and public humiliation have become uncomfortable to watch. What happened in court recently, where people reportedly taunted Judy as she arrived, made me wonder: at what point does holding someone accountable turn into bullying? Rita has every right to defend her position, and Judy has every right to seek legal redress if she believes she has been defamed. Now let the court determine what is defamatory and what isn’t. Because if we’re talking about accountability, let’s distribute it properly. Not just to the woman everyone has decided to blame. And perhaps this is exactly why Judy decided to take the fight from Instagram to the courtroom. What do you think — accountability or bullying? 👀 #yuledochie #ritaedochie #judyaustin #familydrama #blowthisup
