Before you get cash in copper at any recycling place, you should have to go through an FBI check and wait just like purchasing a gun. A database should be kept of everybody who turns in copper.

It's not the rise in copper value that is causing this. It was $4/pound before the recent rise is copper prices. It's the price of everything else leaving people priced out of living. We used to be able own a home and provide for a family of 5 with one full time job. Now you can barely get by with 2 full time jobs. Prices are still rising on goods and services and people are freaking tf out.

It’s the government’s fault because they make it legal to buy copper. Make it illegal unless you have the proper documentation. Who’s gonna buy 30k worth of copper from some random person??? Only a large business that can resell it or use it.
