SpaceX’s Starship has reached orbit for the first time, marking a major milestone for the company’s next-generation rocket program. The achievement came during Starship’s 14th test flight from Texas on September 28. During the mission, the spacecraft successfully deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites before returning to Earth. The flight was shortened after one of Starship’s engines shut down unexpectedly, but the rocket still completed its main orbital objectives. The successful mission demonstrates progress toward SpaceX’s goal of developing a fully reusable launch system capable of carrying large payloads into space.
