Shelter Observation 07/16/26: tense overall , only reacted to treats would keep distance Volunteer Observation 08/04/26: Eager to Approach Cautious Vocal Toney wagged his tail in a fast fashion when I stopped to talk to him, he jumped onto the bars and started barking at me. He seemed friendly so I was going to open the kennel door, he retreated to the back and started barking at me again. He had a cautious demeanor 09/26/26: Easy Going Good Manners;Good on Leash;Pottied Immediately Social (People);Social (Dogs);Loose/Wiggly Body Warms Up; Wants to Cuddle;Wants to Sniff;Solicits Pets Toney is timid at first and appears to be hand shy but he warms up with time and seeks treats and affection. He rested his head on my shoulder while I was petting him and was able to let his guard down fairly quickly. He has a calm and easygoing demeanor and showed some playfulness. He loves treats and seemed very interested in other dogs. He saw a cat through the fence and did not respond but it wasn’t close enough to for sure say he’s good with cats. Sweet boy, just timid and a little fearful to start. Playgroup Observation 07/23/26: This dog is tolerant, allows greets, warms up, wary of handler, and not confident on leash.
