It’s sad because everyone calls him a bad dad and glazed Wilhelm. But when Wilhelm was screaming at Reinhard, what does Heinkel do? Forbids the horrible absent family member Wilhelm from talking to Reinhard. He’s the only person we see who wants the sword saint gone, not wanting his son to have to hold the forced expectations, I don’t think it’s fair to call him a bad dad, he’s not perfect sure. Yet he’s one of the best ones we see in re zero, we don’t know what Reinhard did to ruin their relationship, but it’s confirmed when Wilhelm died in an if, Reinhard and Heinkel’s relationship mended. It’s too early to judge him

reading his novel made me realize he actually wasn't just an alcoholic dad, he's a guy that constantly gets high expectations that he can't live up to it that's actively trying to get the only person that made him actually feel like a knight and someone worth even if it means hurting himself mentally or physically

Heinkel es el personaje mas infravalorado de re:zero, no solo es un padre alcoholico

Imagine Heinkell as a sort of Subaru who didn't have an acceptance arc, had an amazing child in the future, and followed Kenichi's "legacy" instead of him.

Then you have a certain royal guard captain who’s only accomplishments are against minors, depressed people, and Demi-humans.
