Indian Captain Smit Machchhar was bleeding from stab wounds inside the cockpit — but he was still fighting to save the people behind him. According to reports, the captain of Flydubai Flight FZ1073 was attacked by his first officer during the Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight as the aircraft suddenly plunged thousands of feet. Despite his injuries, Machchhar reportedly managed to alert the cabin and unlock the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to intervene. Reserve pilots aboard the flight then took control and safely landed the aircraft in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The passengers later continued safely to Israel. Whatever investigators ultimately determine about the motive, one thing is already clear: Captain Smit Machchhar kept fighting while wounded — and passengers, crew and the reserve pilots responded when every second mattered. Courage in the cockpit. Courage in the cabin. A catastrophe averted. Captain Machchhar, we salute your courage and pray for your fast and full recovery. 🇮🇳🙏🇮🇱 #SmitMachchhar #Flydubai #FZ1073 #Israel #AviationSecurity
