In this day and age there’s no reason to leave your door unlocked. If a thief breaks your window to get into the car, the insurance will cover it, but leaving your car unlocked? Anything and everything could be stolen, including your seats, people will sell parts of your car, inside and outside

Everyone’s blaming people for leaving their doors unlocked, but if he was really wanting to go through your shit and they’ll just break the windows. Before I bought my house, my last apartment complex had people break into cars every night. we locked our van and it still got broken into, our neighbors car was locked, and they broke the door handles off of his car, trying to get in. After I moved, my brother’s car was not broken into but completely stolen, right off of a public street. If they really want in the vehicle, they’re going to get it, the question is how much damage they do and how much money it costs you.

I had a neighbor break in my car and stole some money but since it was less than $500 the cops said ain't nothing they can do about it. could a cop told me they have to steal at least $500 before they'll do anything?
