Stream ‘Demon’ out now!! STORY The Huntrix have saved the day! The world is safe from Gwi-Ma and Rumi has finally embraced her patterns and who she truly is. Everything has been set right and the girls can relax knowing the world is at peace! But not for long… Once the dust has settled, people start to look at Rumi differently. ‘She has patterns just like those monsters that almost killed us all’ ‘How do we know she won’t just turn on us?’ ‘She’s descended from demons, what if she’s secretly evil?’ ‘Can we really risk letting a demon with so much influence run free?’ Rumi attempted to live freely with her demon markings proudly on show, but a growing portion of the population grew afraid of her. It began as words of abuse, and trashing her online but slowly evolved to protests and coordinated attacks on her home. Rumi puts on a brave face but the shame that she had once dispelled starts to return, growing stronger than ever before. Zoey and Mira notice this change in Rumi, and fight desperately with public opinion to show everyone not to be afraid. They go on talk shows, speak to law enforcement, organise rallies. But this only seems to make things worse. It isn’t fear that fuels these people the two realise, but pure seething hatred. And as the girls defend Rumi they themselves become targets, ‘Demon sympathisers’, hated almost as much as Rumi herself. First people boycott Huntrix. Then they find out where Mira and Zoey live. Then ‘anti-demon’ laws are passed. Following that, It's not long before a warrant and bounty is put out for the arrest of all three of the girls. They quickly go into hiding, moving from abandoned malls to laundromats and rooftops. All three are constantly hunted, corroding away any belief that they could gain the public's favour back. They settle into a life of hiding, but at least they have each other. The whole city is searching for them, and everyday is harder than the next. The girls felt settled with this new life. Until one day, after not having slept for several nights, a televised interview with Celine condemning Huntrix comes on, claiming Rumi had always been evil and was an agent of Gwi-Ma.
