To produce our own currency by building our own Exchange Printing Press also cost a lot and won't reduce the cost of printing new currencies for Ghana. It's a decision gov't will have to take with Parliament on whether to build our own Currency Minting and Printing Press...

I've heard people saying the government shouldn't change the currency. Go and read the importance of changing the currency frequency. It makes the economy stronger and also prevents counter fake printing in the system. Others says why are we not printing our own notes instead of paying for others to print for us. The fact is, no country on Earth is allowed to print it's own currency by it's own machinery. It is the world bank which has that power to print currencies, aside any note or coin regarded as fake.
