@henry.ideas: My brothers who are new to the UK, please understand this before you misunderstand somebody's kindness. 😂 When a female colleague says, “Hello love,” “You alright, darling?” or “Thanks, lovely,” don't automatically interpret it as romantic interest or affection. In many parts of the UK, words like love, darling, lovely, sweetheart or pet can simply be everyday friendly expressions. Depending on the person and region, people may use them casually with colleagues, customers or even complete strangers. If you come from a culture where those words are mainly reserved for romantic partners, it can be very easy to misread friendliness as attraction. Don't build a relationship in your head that doesn't exist. 😂 Don't start making advances based on a casual greeting. And most importantly, respect professional boundaries in the workplace.
