@hon.nambeshejohnbaptist: We are joyous that Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi has been granted bail by the Butambala Chief Magistrate’s Court. Hon. Kivumbi, who is facing charges of inciting violence and managing an unlawful society, was re-arrested in Mpigi District barely a day after the International Crimes Division of the High Court granted him bail on July 10, 2026. He was initially arrested on January 22, 2026, following election-related violence in which eight people lost their lives in a shooting at his home.
