M :

Mixing up German and Bavarian beer here

SteveF :

Fyi, "Stein" isnt actually used in german to describe those mugs. "Stein" just means "Stone". the actual word for those mugs is "Krug"

Lotte :

You can study brewing at university here like at weinstephan university in freising

rtgreen20 :

We’re lucky here in Toronto, we’ve got a brewer that does Czech lagers with giant wood pitch lined barrels.

scott fletcher :

What about Queensland you can go to the breakfast creek hotel to get beer off the wood so we still get beer of the wood in a couple of places in Australia 🇦🇺

Rich 🇬🇧🇨🇭🇪🇺🌈 :

YES!! Make it’s a YouTube series!!!!!

12simk12 :

Xxxx Brisbane also has beer on the wood and has coopers for the barrels

JaminEllisMusic :

New task unleashed: taste beer dispensed from an authentic barrel made by an honest to George brewery cooper. Cool as fuck what you guys are doing.

user942643287083 :

They’re “maß”, not steins (for the most part. A maß refers to any litre of beer. A stein isn’t really ever used, but a steinkrug refers to the stoneware jugs rather than the glasses)

Ken :

Beer from the wood casks is so good.

💫Henry💫 :

The worst feeling as a cooper is going home and seeing your family dead

Benifer :

Thank you very interesting

Gavin :

What uk ales/beers use wooden casks?

Mark :

Go for that trip. Should qualify as a work expense 😉

Günther Grabowski :

You need to go to Bavaria for that. So south Germany. The rest of Germany usually don't have that.
