@glineqrcev1: When Evanescence dropped "Bring Me To Life" in 2003, they completely bridged the gap between heavy nu-metal and sweeping gothic rock. Backed by those iconic, eerie piano notes and crushing guitar riffs, Amy Lee delivered one of the greatest vocal performances of the decade. The addition of Paul McCoy's aggressive rap-rock vocals created that legendary "WAKE ME UP" call-and-response chorus, turning a deeply emotional track into an absolute stadium-shaking anthem. The music video is pure, unmatched 2000s nostalgia. Watching Amy Lee sleepwalk out of her window and scale a massive skyscraper, fully leaning into the dark, dramatic aesthetic of the era, is a visual that has stayed permanently burned into pop culture history. Years later, this song still goes unbelievably hard. It remains the ultimate early-2000s rock masterpiece—a flawless, high-energy hit that guarantees every single person in the room will be screaming the chorus at the top of their lungs. #song #lyrics #bringmetolife #evanesence
