ቤኒሻንጉል ጉሙዝ ክልል በኢትዮጵያ በምዕራብ አቅጣጫ የሚገኝ፣ በታላቅ የተፈጥሮ ሀብት፣ በህዝቦች ብዝሃነት እና በታሪካዊ ማዕከላት የሚታወቅ ክልል ነው። ስለ ክልሉ ዋና ዋና ነጥቦች ለማወቅ የሚረድ አጭር ማጠቃለያ ከዚህ በታች ተቀምጧል፦ መዋቅር እና ዕድገት፦ ክልሉ የተመሰረተው በ1987 ዓ.ም. ሲሆን፣ ዋና ከተማው አሶሳ ነች። ክልሉ በአሶሳ፣ በካማሺ እና በመተከል ዞኖች እንዲሁም በማኦ ኮሞ ልዩ ወረዳ የተከፈለ ነው። ህዝብ እና ብዝሃነት፦ ክልሉ በርካታ ብሔር ብሔረሰቦች በአብሮነት የሚኖሩበት ነው። ከባህላዊ ባለቤቶች መካከል (ቤኒሻንጉል)፣ ጉሙዝ፣ ሽናሻ፣ ማኦ እና ኮሞ ይገኙበታል። ጂኦግራፊ እና ታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ፦ ዓባይ (ብሉ ናይል) ወንዝ ክልሉን አቋርጦ የሚያልፍ ሲሆን፣ የኢትዮጵያ የዘመናችን ትልቁ የኩራት ምንጭ የሆነው የታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ (GERD) የሚገኘው በዚህ ክልል ውስጥ (በመተከል ዞን) ነው። ኢኮኖሚ፦ የክልሉ ሕዝብ ዋና የኑሮ ምንጭ በእርሻ፣ በባህላዊ የወርቅ ማዕድን ማውጣት፣ በእንጨት ሥራ እና በእንስሳት እርባታ ላይ የተመሰረተ ነው።
