@ny_divorce_lawyer: This is more of a custody strategy than a dirty trick, but it is very common from what I see in my practice. #FamilyLawAttorney #CustodyBattle #FamilyCourt #FathersRights. ##NewYorkAttorney
it's the modernization project of the fatherhood initiative. It's state and federal funded that is being used to manipulate the family court system. You can demonstrate that you were responsible and are being taught by the system. often they get involved during court cases. it's time to start telling the truth.

the problem is when it's all for show to get a reduction in child support and it doesn't last after the trial is over, leaving everything to the mother.

I’ve seen a lot of other people say that judges can see through that they see an uptick once the divorce starts, but historically they weren’t the one doing it and judges can kind of see right through that

It’s really sad that us moms can beg our husbands till we’re blue in the face to step up and help more, and we’re told we’re nagging, but the second their divorce attorney tells them they need to step up, they play dad of the year.

I exposed all of that my ex could not name a single teacher could not even name the name of his school or his daily medication and at the end of trial none of that mattered

living this right now. I am finding I am feeling resentful of how much he suddenly wants to be involved with the kids. he rarely ever changed a diaper let alone attended a doctor's appointment. hes never even had all 4 kids alone for more than a few hours, and never over night. but suddenly he wants 50/50. I feel like hes just trying to manipulate the court to hurt me bc he knows the kids are all i care about.

Tell me you represent the absent father without telling me you represent the absent father 😅 jk 😂 sometimes having the courts involved, actually pushes the other person to become more involved which is good. I think as moms, sometimes we get used to having limited help and then question the other parents intentions.

I’d also like to point out that there are narcissistic people who make there lawyers believe they’ve changed when they haven’t.

What does a dad do when he’s constantly battling just to be involved—to show up, to drive his kids to and from activities, to be the parent he wants to be—but keeps getting shut out because their mom leans entirely on her parents? She even lies, saying she’s the one managing drop-offs and pick-ups, when in truth it’s other people who step in. And here I am, still fighting to have the chance that should already be mine.

How is it good for a child to miss days of antibiotics because he wants to hurt me and the child? Sometimes it’s not good

My ex just got another overnight after missing every Wednesday for 8 weeks and skipping parent night because he was to busy. The judge still increased his time and now he’s taking her to Sacramento on a 15 hour round trip train ride this weekend when she has school tests and projects because he has a party to go to.

What if the other parent wants to be involved but the involvement just makes everything more difficult for the primary parent and the children? Example: other parent now shares legal custody and refuses to allow primary parent to sign child up for therapy. Or other parent is involved but child consistently misses practices or doesn’t have gear etc on his time.

What if they start volunteering at your kids school (after doing nothing) just to trash me and try to ruin my career? I work at the joined middle school …

That would be amazing if change lasted. Reality is, change is only temporary, and rarely lasting. My ex never did step up and be more involved. I really wished he had. Instead, I ended up taking on even more as he was always resistant to taking time off work claiming he never had the PTO. In one year, I took off 50+ days (not hours) of sick leave I had saved up compared to his 2 days due to new medical needs for the kids. Now he takes one kid to 2 appts a month because there is Saturday availability and he is off work.

what happens in a situation when they mother dont wont you involved or tries to limit your access in daycare and the doctors appointment just to prove she is the one doing everything by herself?

Exactly- it happened- I hate it because she wasn’t involved at all before and even told me she didn’t want kids- but in the end it’s good for the kids to have a relationship with both parents so I just try and focus on that.

Yes, what you say is correct, in my experience. Unfortunately, this shift was quite difficult for us, but especially for the children. Now, as adults, they are working through their divorce trauma with professionals.

When a woman goes into court and gets custody of the children she is asking for the majority of the responsibility if then she realizes it’s to much then she drags the man back in court lol the court should realize it should be 50/50

unless/until the primary custodial parent names that in the modification petition and the new paramour is the one who decides to take it upon herself to begin inserting herself and pressuring that from the child during the father's custody time, like bribing the elementary age child for a copy of their report card, and consistently asking for it (from the child) and only now going out and buying the child necessary appropriately sized clothing and such...but the father himself is still not involved...or even his own mother will do it on his behalf, not him, but sure he wants to have the benefit of slapping his name on the effort.

Its a great thing when a less involved parent steps up. It would have been better if they did that all along, but it’s a great thing for that child.
