Slow Cook Sundays- Beef Ragu with Pappardelle 🍝 It’s officially that season where the crockpot gets turned on early Sunday Morning, the house smells like apples and food cooking all day, there’s a crisp breeze in the air & comfort meals look like this again and I couldn’t be happier. This is a quick and easy meal that you just need 10-15 minutes of prep time and then it’s all in the slow cooker. You’re going to want to sear your beef chuck, salt and pepper to taste and whatever else you’d like to season it with. Then I like to get a nice color on my veggies, it adds more flavor. I used a whole red onion, about 2-3 carrots and then 2 celery sticks. Roughly cut. Then to the same pan with all the flavors on it from the meat and veggies you’re going to want to cook down some tomato paste and then add red wine and cook it down until it semi thickens to coat the back of a spoon. Transfer your meat, veggies, and wine/tomato mixture to the crockpot. I added a twine roll of oregano, parsley, thyme, & rosemary from my garden. On top of about 2 cups of tomato sauce. A couple squirts of Worcestershire sauce and a table spoon or two of Dijon mustard. You’re going to want to cook it low and slow for 7-8 hours and go about your day, trust me your house will smell amazing the entire time! When it’s just about ready boil your noodles and set aside. Once the time is up, remove the twine of herbs and remove the meat and it should be extremely tender that you can shred with a fork in seconds. Remove from the sauce and I took my immersion blender and blended until smooth, added in some cream and then added in my noodles. Serve and top with some Parmesan cheese and enjoy 🍴 #trending #crockpot #fallrecipes #Foodie #fyp
