I mean i have basic algebra skills, didnt know any differenation, integration, didnt know what the equation of a circle looked like or what a polynomial was or what the quadratic formula looked like or what the unit circle was. Hell i couldnt even solve inequalities. And had never seen f(x), i only knew y= something. But I was just thrown into calc 1 and it was hard at the start, but after a lot of hours practising it became more doable. I had my first midterm on limits and (implicit) differeniation and IVT and MVT and more and it was surprisingly doable. Maybe it helps me that I am also a programmer, so a lot of the concepts such functions are easy to grasp, but i was expecting a lot worse indeed, because of my huge gap in math skills.

You’re not wrong. Calc is easy if you have a good professor that explains things well. I had horrible professors. That’s why I made a the vow to explain things well so it’s easier to understand.

Calculus might as well just be called Applied Algebra and Trigonometry. It doesn’t do anything but make something from combining other components of math.

Calculus is the border between easy math and hard math. Calculus still uses numbers and variables. Actually hard math is written in dead languages from ancient alien civilizations

Nah calculus was the first time I actually had to study for a math class. That first half of calc BC was a struggle. After getting calc 1 and 2 down, the classes after it (Lin Alg, multi, diff eq) were all relatively straight forward. That jump to calculus tho was certainly something
