I was married to one and was hemorrhaging from surgery problem and needed to go back to the hospital, 5 days there, didn’t hear from him, he didn’t visit and was pissed off that he had to pick me up as I was not allowed to take an uber home. He dropped me off, I could not walk and he drove off and didn’t check on me or come home until 8 pm. I had to call someone else to bring me food. This is basically how he treated me every time I was sick as well.

I got sick - cancer stage 4 terminal- 4 month later he told our daughter he has cancer dangerous 🙈- as this didn’t work he told the kids I have psychological problem - still in court fighting for divorce- and for him unfortunately I’m still alive 4 years now - the doctor gave me 6 months and the narcissists thought he gets my house

What triggered my covert narcissist the most, because he hates himself, was me pointing out loser behavior in fictional characters that he also demonstrates. It could also be characteristics in those fictional characters that he sees in himself. These are things that he either has confirmed as his traits or one's he can't change. He boasted about identifying so much about characters that he thought were so cool, but I'd point out how desperate and unsuccessful those characters are in love because he demeans women and is insecure. I'd also point out that the only thing going well for the characters is money, which my covert narcissist doesn't have since he lives beyond his means. He desperately wants be one of us old-money kids and larps being one. I have nothing against improving one's lifestyle but he constantly claims other people's property and stories as his so he can pass off as rich, or even pretend we have a deeper relationship than what is reality. It's not just white lies but literal scams.

Oh yeah, police is about to confront them. My lawyer did last month n they all of a sudden stopped communicating. I luckly been seeing a psychiatrist n therapist for several years - it also can be used as evidence at court. Narcs are dangerous guys, lawyers n doctors are expensive, but Narcs can torment u to death.

I confronted him, a really big text of one year thinking about his lies, his catfish, his negging, his gaslighting. I was too afraid to tell him. He said it was fine, never apologized and turned ice cold the day after, it was hilarious.
