@btcbeyondthecase: On January 21, 2013, Las Vegas police lieutenant Hans Walters shot and killed his wife, Kathryn Michelle Walters, and their 5-year-old son, Max, inside their Nevada home. Max was watching cartoons when his father shot him. Hans then set parts of the house on fire and called 911. He told the dispatcher he had killed his family and claimed he killed Michelle because she was living with chronic neck and back pain. He also threatened to shoot firefighters if they tried to stop the fire. As police responded, Hans shot himself. Michelle’s pain was the explanation Hans gave.
