@rtenews: For several months, Prime Time has followed groups who describe themselves as “paedophile hunters.” Jay Hunter heads up a group called Child Online Protection Enforcers NI, or COPE NI. “People can describe us as vigilantes, but in reality, look up and see what a vigilante is,” he said. “Our only weapon is a camera, and we do phone the police.” Hotline CEO Mick Moran criticised the practice saying the type of activity shouldn’t be done by “caped crusaders” confronting people who have a sexual interest in children. “All of those things, this type of activity, vigilante activity, has no place in a democratic society,” he added. #primetime #news
