What I feel makes it difficult is looking at who's lyin and who's honest when you make a decision and the longer you do it the harder it is to belive those who are being honest and I don't think u was a bad person on bb just abit young and nieve in your reactions don't give that too much energy 🥰

I get some have had terrible experiences with social workers and their feelings are valid if it is from personal experience, but there are also some amazing social workers out there too, like the one who helped with my daughter when school was overwhelming for her and was refusing to go in, I won’t go into every detail because I don’t think she would want people knowing details, but our social worker was a godsend to me while the school only cared about threatening me with fines, she came to school meetings with me because I have an anxiety disorder. If it wasn’t for her things would have taken a very dark turn. My daughter is a adult now with a degree, that never would of happened without their support

I’m a teacher and I always say to people if children are removed from their home…it’s taken a lot to get to that point. Separating families is literally a last resort and I’ve seen many children that are still not removed after really terrible things have happened, so if it’s got to the point of them being separated it’s not just a social worker lightly deciding it 😭x

i think one of the realities of working as a social worker, nurse, teacher, etc. is we are not allowed to be seen having a day off and enjoying anything seen as unprofessional, i.e. partying, clubbing, drinking, socialising. but the reality is, our real life is totally separate from our professional. the way somebody conducts themselves outside of work should not be seen as a reflection of their professional conduct or abilities. i think it’s really concerning that people have been spreading allegations about you. they have no clue how removing a child from their legal guardians actually works. it’s not the fault of the social worker

It takes A LOT for a child to be removed let alone adopted! Social services aim to keep the child within the family unit, whether it’s a grandparent, friend of the family, or aunts / uncles. Whoever that person is blaming a person for doing their job needs to take a long hard long hard look in the mirror.
