@msjesscantwell: Are any of my MS family taking, or have tried, Ampyra? If so, let me know how it went. #multiplesclerosis #ms #mswarrior #msfighter #msawareness
I have been taking it for a few weeks and when I went on my walk yesterday up a very steep hill I was able to walk up it an didn't feel as tired as I normally would in the past.
It does make me wake several times in the night with my mind racing about things I need to do.
I have to take it with food or I feel shaky.
prayers going your way.

I’m on it. It does more than just help you walk. Walking is the only thing they can measure. I would highly recommend it for all the other things that does ask your neurologist

I'm on it over a year now. Really don't notice any improvement but I can definitely tell when I miss a dose though.

My left leg/foot are the worst, can walk some but powered scooter is used in and out of house, even though I try and “walk” as much as I can. I’ve been on Ampyra for about 3 yrs, can’t say I notice much but also don’t want to stop taking it. I think you might as well try it, why not?

It's newly reimbursed in the UK but has been reimbursed in Ireland for over 10 years. I know a few people on it and they find it great.

I take the generic. I’ve been on it for years and feel it really helps my walking. Also, you you checked out the Cionic sleeve? Helps with my left leg drag.

I was on Dalfampradine (generic). But it made my good leg worse. It only works for 50% of people.

I’ve been talking it for about 4 years. It noticeably helped my walking speed. I stopped taking it because I can’t walk that well anymore. I started it again after a few days because I stiffened up really bad without it.

I’m on it for probably 2yrs. I haven’t seen help me walk better. Ugh I was not told 🤦🏻♀️if it doesn’t work to stop! This makes sense because I left it at home once on vacation and it was super stiff without 😤

I’ve been taking it for years. It helps my leg heaviness a lot. If I miss a dose I can barely pick up my leg. 🧡

Hi! I’m SPMS. my Neuro said before I started “it either works well or doesn’t”. For me, I’ve stayed on it and I’m walking okay.
