The church fathers actually give us a clearer view on how early Christianity interpreted the Bible. Polycarp being a student of John makes his interpretation much more valid than pastor mikes interpretation.

What about the Church? For Lord Jesus never said to write of him, he first instituted the Church. I’m not saying the Bible isn’t the Word of God it is, but I’m saying that we should probably rely on the Church closest to the Original Church to interpret scripture.
