For those of you who may be interested, “cicchetti” is how locals in Venice call small bites (like tapas) to have before dinner together with a glass of wine, which they call “ombra” (=shadow). So in Venice they say “let’s go for two cicchetti and a shadow”, which means “let’s have aperitivo”. It would make much more sense if the owner of the NYC place was from Venice, instead of Rome 😑
