@charleybournetruecrime: The Turpin House Of Horrors 💔 For years, behind the walls of an ordinary home in Perris, California, 13 siblings were subjected to severe abuse, neglect and imprisonment by their parents, David and Louise Turpin. The truth finally came to light in the early hours of a January morning 2018, when 17-year-old Jordan Turpin escaped through a window and used a deactivated mobile phone to call 911. She told police that her 12 brothers and sisters were still inside the house, and even had photographs on the phone showing the conditions they were living in. When deputies arrived, they initially believed Jordan was around 10 years old because of her extremely malnourished appearance. Inside the property, they discovered her siblings, aged between 2 and 29, some of whom were shackled to beds. Investigators found a filthy environment and began interviewing all 13 siblings, collecting physical evidence and hundreds of journals that the children had written during their years inside the home. As the investigation unfolded, detectives uncovered horrific allegations of the worst crimes you could imagine. Prosecutors said some of the children had been chained for weeks or months at a time. David and Louise Turpin were arrested and ultimately pleaded guilty to multiple charges, receiving sentences of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
