my mum used rags mainly due to dancing n comps... iv recently used the fluffy pipe cleaners from craft shops.... softer and better to sleep in

You can also braid her hair at night (French braids work best). My niece loves her hair curly. She has super straight hair. I put tight braids and in the morning her hair is so curly.

My grandma used to put my hair in rag rolls but cotton buds would have been better since the spiral perm was so fashionable in the 80’s
